Staff Profile

Robyn How
Centre Manager

I started the Tararua Breeding Centre in 1997 and it has grown steadily over the years. With a great working relationship with Totally Vets over the years, and to add value to the business, Totally Vets bought the breeding centre in 2017. This enables us to set up a new centre to collect semen for the EU.

I have worked in the Cattle industry most of my life in all facets of the industry from breaking in and showing stud cattle, up to perfecting a technique of safely collecting bulls on farm with an AV.

My passion is bulls and fertility and is a subject I can talk about for hours, just ask me!

Juan Jaurretche
Assistant Manager

I am the latest recruit into the wonderful TBC Team, Starting in this position in June 2019.

I am eager to learn from the best to ensure the clients the quality of service that the TBC team has been offering for more than 20 years.

I have 10 years experience in the Dairy and Beef industry and have been doing AI for the past 5 years. I love the outdoors, working with the bulls and keep fit by playing soccer.

Courtney Moffat
Cattle and Laboratory Technician

I started working at the Tararua Breeding Centre in 2009 on a part time basis while I completed my Bachelor in Visual Arts and Imaging. I enjoyed this work so much that in 2012 I started full time, taking care of the bulls and working in the laboratory processing semen.

I enjoy working with the bulls and doing the AV collections both on centre,  and also going out on farm and collecting. It is great being able to interact with our clients and their bulls. I also enjoy the sheep side of the business working with rams and collecting their semen.

I love working with all animals especially my 2 Cats and my 2 Border Collies. My dogs and I are involved in Agility and travel all over NZ to compete.

Paddy Kauri
Farm Technician

I have worked at the Breeding Centre since 2017 after many years working in both the horse (as  a jockey) and Dairy industry all my life, I now enjoy working with the bulls and keeping them well fed and the farms running smoothly.

Nerolie Morrison
Office Manager

I started at Tararua Breeding Centre in 2000 and have worked in varying roles over the years until now being in charge of the office.  I am usually the first person you talk to when you phone the Centre. I enjoy talking to our clients and helping solve any questions they have.

I enjoy watching the bulls at the Centre but am happy to leave the “up close & personal” work to the other team members.
